Some things are easier said then done. This thought came to mind when we had a very rusty water damaged 1975 CB400 delivered to us for a full restoration/custom build. Two and a half engines in bits, a frame, fuel tank, forks, and a pair of re-laced wheels. We started with the frame, which went in the bin! Sadly it was too far gone so we sourced a replacement and got welding.
Once we had a finished rolling chassis it was time to tackle the engine. A light re-bore and some new bearings and pistons was all that was needed to bring the little iconic engine back to life. The paintwork was done in house. Volkswagen pure grey would be the base colour paired with a light silver scallop and black pin stripe.
